Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Goals

How is it November? I spent the night before trick-or-treating with my nephew and ended the night with frozen yogurt and a mocktail, then ending the night watching Halloween episodes of Bob’s Burgers. While watching the television, I had already started planning for Thanksgiving. I have a preliminary menu idea with the classics and some of my husband's and my own favorites. I might add or change some things before dinner, but this marks the beginning of the planning. During the Halloween local Farmer’s market, we put our turkey on hold to pick it up from a local farm.

I am 24 weeks pregnant, and sleep is not coming easily. If it’s not anxiety about the pregnancy, it’s the physical symptoms of the pregnancy, restless leg syndrome, frequent urination, and the acid reflux. At this point, bread gives me acid reflux. It’s hard to sleep at night. Because of the constant lack of sleep, I haven’t had the same bandwidth to be as creative as I want to be. The work I have been working on is not as creative or producing the words and ideas as I want to be, but I have found other easier items to still take off my list.

I kept October light with only two creative projects on the agenda. But keeping it light made for a successful month.

#ProjectForgotten- I wanted to finish the remaining 21 chapters. I had the manuscript go through another round of professional editing. During the month of October, I had finished all the chapters. It felt great to actually make progress. Although the other side of the plan was to get my LLC paperwork completed so I could purchase my ISBNs under the LLC and set up all the vendors with the tax information for the business. But as I did it, I also came across several ways to do it, and now I need to figure out whether to use an accountant, an internet company to file for me, or do the paperwork myself.

November- the LLC paperwork I need to figure it out, and I need to submit it. My due date is right around the corner, and in order for my plans to unfold the way I want them to, I need to have the book published and the next one getting ready. I have plans, and I need to stop sitting on them and make things happen, and follow through.

#ProjectLost- I had nothing on my to-do list from last month, but I contacted my cover designer, and that is underway to be completed by the end of November.

November- I need to complete the cover for my second novel. I had 14 chapters that had gone through the first round of self-edits. I am hoping to get through the remaining 10 chapters this month. But it depends on my sleep and energy levels. The self-edits take time and a certain amount of brain power, that with a lack of sleep, I have not had an abundance.

StellarWolf Publishing Blog- I have completed my blog update for October. Once I write and publish this, I will be done for November. The next blog is scheduled for December 6, 2026.
