Blood pressure, Printed Copies, and Priorities
March was a medical personal pain. I had an egg extraction, and in the months leading up to the date, I had some issues. My blood pressure was becoming a huge issue, almost to where they may not have completed the procedure after all the medication, weight loss, and other preparations, physical and emotional. I had to increase my medication and had urgent appointments to find a solution. After the procedure, on the night of the procedure, my blood pressure decreased by twenty points. My health is better, but not where I want it to be, not yet.
My focus is getting my book published. But my health is a priority. Despite spending significant time in appointments and worrying about uncontrollable outcomes, my only recourse was the prescribed medication.
#ProjectForgotten - I had formatted, submitted, and printed a physical copy, with the edits made and the cover from my cover artist. When the physical copy came back, I had submitted the wrong cover file, so the copies came back with a watermark for the artist. Well, at least if mistakes happen, it’s early enough to find and fix. A friend read through one copy and made notes and proofread the copy.
April - My plan is to read through and proofread the project. Afterward, I am going to find a proofreader and have another set of eyes to overlook the manuscript. I need to finish the back matter. It's basic for the e-book, simple for a paperback, and something a little extra for the Hardcovers. Lastly, I need to set up my newsletter, set up an account, for right now, have to sign up on my website and the back of the books, and all the welcome emails.
Publish and Thrive - It’s such an amazing course, and anyone who wants to publish needs to take it. If I had more time and followed along, it would have only taken 6 weeks. When the class is live, each module is about a week long. But my time is limited, so it’s taking me about twice the time. I finished up to module 5 and lesson 7.
April - I will finish the rest of the course.
I moved my website, www.stellarwolfpublishing.com, from Bluehost and WordPress to Squarespace. The amount of mods that needed to be paid for and updated. I honestly had gotten to the point I didn’t know what anything does, and then one day my website didn’t work. Unfortunately, everything on the site was gone the blog, I had little else on there. A more user-friendly Squarespace platform, which includes an annual plan, is easier to assemble. It includes features like a blog and a storefront at no extra annual cost. had little
April - April blog to update my progress and items that I completed. I need to finish a disclosure page with the legal stuff needed for the website, then I will publish the website.
#ProjectCamp - I didn’t work on this at all.
April - I want to finish the short story, to be added on my website
#ProjectSG9 - During the month I finished five sections and added 11,179 words to the project, bringing the total to 16,560. This is a novella-length project, book nine out of the nine-book series. A non-fiction project that brings together my long-standing nursing blog from www.novelnurse.com. I only have a few more sections left and the entire series that I have been working on for the last two years.
April - Each Thursday and Friday morning I dictate a section and format later, and I will finish it this month, format the entire project and submit to have it published.
